Learn To Dance
Learning to dance is a fun activity - you watch, listen, try, and practise - and some more practice helps a lot. Then you
watch, listen, try and practise another step or two. It's usually better if you do this as a couple, and did we mention? - practice
helps a lot!
How can we Learn - - - ?
There's three main ways to take dance lessons. You can join a class (SCROLL DOWN for details of new classes from Mel and
Ella), you can have private lessons on a one to one basis, or take a concentrated course for a special occasion, such as that First Wedding Dance.
- - - Mel and Ella commence one of their "Strictly Dance Workshops" for Absolute Beginners in January 2013
8.00 pm till 9.30 pm on Mondays at Wester Hailes Education Centre. This is a "Strictly Style" busy, but fun, course in Basic Latin and Ballroom
Dance. Why not Walk In and Dance Out, having learned the basics of dances such as Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Quickstep and more.

Bookings commence mid December 2012 and NOT before. . You can pre-register on 07811 896866 to be sent

Dance. For those with some experience and follows on from the Basic and Improvers and more courses with more of the Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Quickstep, Jive and Samba.

Over 60 - £22.00, Student - £30.00, Concessions £12.00.
Mel and Ella lead, demonstrate and teach Social Sequence Dance each Friday afternoon 1.45 pm. till 3.45 pm.
throughout the year at Carrickvale Sequence Dance Club, Carrickvale Further Education Centre. This commences runs each Friday throughout most of the year.

Private Lessons - - Can I Learn Faster?
You'll find Private Lessons on a one to one basis are probably the fastest way to learn, similar to the learning curve you've seen on
TV in "Strictly Come Dancing" - just don't expect results in a week. Whilst most people can learn to dance, even if they
think they can't, or think they've two left feet, you won't have up to ten hours a day, six or seven days a week to learn and practice as
the celebrities on television do!
