Sequence Dancing Holidays Abroad
Some of the best places to find Sequence dances and dancing abroad are those areas with previous British connections, and
ex-pat British populations. Malta, Gibraltar, and Cyprus in Europe, and places like New Zealand, Australia and parts of Canada. The Spanish
Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca both have big enough ex-pat populations to support some sequence dancing, but it looks like the hey-days of
Sequence dancing in nearly every hotel on the Costas as part of the winter package is over. As of 2008/9 season, most of
the leaders used by the large tour companies will not be leading on or in the Spanish Costa and Balearics Hotels.
The Benidorm Plaza
is one of the few hotels in Benidorm confirmed as having sequence dancing for the winter seasons, where we understand the
current leaders are retained by the hotel management directly. The Plaza already operates a "priority to guests" policy, some
tables being reserved for guests of the hotel, the forecast is this policy may be extended further as demand outstrips supply. Last season
a nominal charge was being levied at the door for those who were not hotel guests unless able to produce proof of being TUI (Thomson)
holidaymakers. If Sequence Dance is important to you as part of your holiday, we can only suggest you ask your travel agent or company to confirm it will
be available. See update on Thomson Holidays below
