Sequence Dancing Clubs
Most Sequence Dancing happens at Sequence Dance Clubs. Many Clubs exist up and down the country, and estimates are
that Sequence Dancing has most likely the highest participation attendances of any form of dance in the UK to-day. The trouble is,
for those trying to find out about Clubs, that there is NO central register or listing of Sequence Dance venues throughout the country.
A first point of information may well be here, on the area pages listed here [Scotland, England, Abroad] to the right, or try
Peter's Sequence Dancing website.
If you can't find a local club on these pages, then try a contact at your Library, Council Offices or Tourist Information Office
if there is one for your area. These often have details of local venues for Sequence Dancing. Remember though, staff may have no
idea whatsover just what Modern Sequence Dancing is, and you could be referred to Dance Classes, Scottish Country Dancing or
various other forms of dance!

Always ask about Tea Dances as well. Many areas have Community Centre Tea Dances with largely Sequence or mixed Ballroom and Sequence
Dancing on various afternoons weekly. These tend to be mainly the steady older dances that "serious" Sequence Dancers only dance
occasionally, but these clubs and tea dances are ideal for the beginner where the older dances are repeated on a regular basis,
giving beginners the chance to "get up to speed" in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Of course, you'll almost always find
someone there who knows about other sessions in the area you might like to attend as well!
Now here's an important bit! If you attend or run a sequence dance club or sequence dancing venue, and you would like to see it mentioned here, then all
you have to do is drop me an e-mail and we'll add it to the listing.
New entries (or changes) usually appear here within 48 hours.
It would be nice if you keep us up to date with any changes or closures you may have, so that we can keep the entries as current as possible.
You should note that the inclusion (or non-inclusion) of a Club or Sequence Dancing venue
in these listings should not be taken necessarily as in any way an endorsement (or non-endorsement) of a Sequence Dance Club or venue. Clubs and
venues listed are simply those known about in any area. The list is not intended to imply, nor should you infer, that any Club or Venue is
"better" than any other in an area, it's just these are the only ones we know about! In other words, send us the details and we'll
add them to the list FREE as a service to the sequence dancing community.
